“Our wounds are often the openings into the best and most beautiful part of us.”

Therapy with adolescents can help them understand and resolve issues common to teenagers, such as self-esteem, peer and family interactions, emerging sexuality, and school and peer pressure. While teens have more of a “zone of privacy” in their therapy, parents are kept informed of the important issues and have the opportunity to meet with the therapist alone, or together with their son or daughter.
Family therapy helps to understand and address problems by improving patterns of interaction between family members. It is designed to improve communication, resolve conflict, and strengthen the relationships within the family unit. This type of therapy is generally short-term and geared towards achieving specific goals.
